Express Disability Over Payment Recovery

Overview

• Assistance provided to employers in recovering Long-Term Disability (LTD) payments at the time of their employee’s Social Security award

• Electronic Overpayment Recovery (EOR) option is made available through an Automated Clearing House (ACH) arrangement with SSDC’s bank and the claimants checking account or a special account is set-up for the deposit of the beneficiary’s Social Security checks

• Ability to both increase convenience for the individual and improve the timing and total amount of LTD overpayment recoveries

• EOR service can be implemented as either a standard component of the Advocacy program or as an option

• Discounting the amount of overpayment for which the employee is responsible encourages participation in the program
